OUR BEGINNINGS

Year zero for i-4business was 1996. That was the point at which Barry, our Founder, decided that the technology world really needed a new approach for sales & marketing intelligence. Frankly, this wasn’t an overnight realisation – Barry had already had many years successful experience in sales & marketing at senior level in the technology world – in fact, it was a career of stellar achievement (see his LinkedIn profile).

Also, by then, Barry had been for several years one of the principals within a hugely successful intelligence provider (Spikes Cavell). However, Barry felt that they were losing sight of the key issues of focus, quality and service.

Resolved to stick rigidly to these tenets, Barry struck out to build i-4business in his own image. That decision has been justified by our many years of success and our reputation as the quality provider to the technology industry.

OUR JOURNEY

When our company was launched, it was with 3 clients - TSG Software (a client to this very day), BGS Systems (subsequently acquired by BMC Software, who were by then a client) and Sterling Software (subsequently acquired by CA Technologies, who then became a long-term, valued client).

From those early beginnings, i-4business went from strength to strength. Major name technology vendors (e.g. NetApp, CA Technologies, BMC Software, Gartner, Google, Amazon, Dell, SAP, HP, Juniper, IBM, Oracle, Safenet, Varonis and a whole load more) joined our list of subscribers. We've also been delighted to service many smaller, start-up organisations - our subscription models provide cost-effective solutions across the spectrum.

i-4business was always at the forefront of innovation - from the outset, clients received updates automatically and seamlessly via email-based database synchronisation. We were then the first in our field to move to a totally cloud-based model. We also expanded our coverage – firstly to cover all of Western Europe, then the Middle East and then South Africa. During that time, we have retained the core values we hold dear - focus, quality and service.

We now offer complete EMEA coverage and are proud of the reputation for quality, breadth and depth that we have earned. We continue to get a rush from the top-quality clients we work with – most of the largest, most prominent technology vendors use our information – of no less importance are the many smaller technology organisations who trust in i4business to help them deliver success via their more limited sales & marketing budgets.

Our newly launched Sales Edition & Marketing Edition solutions offer unmatched depth and breadth of intelligence delivered via the richest cloud-based application available. And, in line with our open-architecture philosophy, we now integrate with CRMs and Marketing Automation tools in real-time, at your command.

As can be seen from Our Journey, our progress has been built on a commitment to constant evolution – we strive continuously to make our solution better today than it was yesterday and to ensure that tomorrow it is better still. So, our future is pretty much more of the same. We plan to expand the countries we cover (Israel, Portugal, North Africa, etc. are all under development). We are also constantly evolving our methodology to make it even more effective than it is already and to ensure that we make full use of new media etc.

One of our recent developments that we found particularly exciting is the on-line, native integration with Salesforce (SFDC) – we are now working on achieving the same level of seamless integration with other CRMs (e.g. Dynamics) and Marketing Automation solutions (e.g. Eloqua, Marketo). The i-4business application and the scope of information contained within i-4business are also undergoing constant evolution.
